Mega Challenge: Week 28

And we’re back.

This week we find ourselves south of Akkamysh, Uzbekistan, just on the border with Turkmenistan. Like Kazakhstan, this region is mostly empty, largely desert, and probably not much fun to pass through. We’re a long way from Charlbury and Morris dancing, that’s for sure.

As a group we’re now over 1,000 miles behind target. The first few months of the year we kept pace, but it’s becoming increasingly challenging. I thought all my trips up the High St. would help too.

How are we each doing?

With just over half the year gone, we should all be around 50% complete to be matching our 2024 numbers…

The maps…

There’s no street view in Uzbekistan, just the odd uploaded photo. It’s mostly small, empty villages.

There is one shot of a shop, which is stocking Colegate, Dove, and Pepsi. So western capitalism is thriving in even here.

Keep on pushing everyone!
